Infrared Sauna Kits Shopping Tips

When shopping for an infrared sauna kit for the home there can be a lot of factors to consider.  Here is a list of some of the most common infrared sauna kit questions and decision points most people consider:

Size - how many people at one time want to use the infrared sauna?  This will affect your initial purchase price plus the ongoing energy costs of using it.

Type of wood - there are several interior wood finishes to consider.  A lot of people like a cedar interior sauna finish because it reminds them of dry saunas and has a wonderful aroma.  You can also select hypoallergenic basswood models and other white woods that have less off-gassing properties and are constructed without any materials containing toxic glues or adhesives (like plywood and chemical based adhesives).

Heating surfaces - the amount and location of the heating surfaces will affect your infrared sauna's overall effectiveness.  The best saunas have the largest amount of total heating surface areas and will also have heaters located on all walls and floors.  What you want is even distribution of the infrared heat.
